We tried to get the boat back in the water Saturday. The constant rain once again stopped us. Sunday morning, we finally managed to have the wrecker meet us and take Palma Bella II down to the water. She was dirty but we didn’t care. We called a few friends and hopped on.
We slowly made it across the North shore, taking our time looking in and out of each bay. I won’t sugar coat the sadness in the damage, but I can’t deny that there is still such beauty. We took a ride over to St Thomas to see how are neighboring island fared.. which was much better than us by the way. The boat day ended at 9:00pm backed in front of Beach Bar with a lot of laughs and a sense of familiarity.
Today I write this sitting at Lavongo. We did a supply run for the folks over here. The BVI’s are definitely in this weeks future.
